Rey continues her training as the Resistance attempts to gain any advantage before the inevitable final battle with the First Order.

I like some stuff in these movies but the thing I miss the most is a strong line through each movie, connecting them. My goal here was to connect the three films into one viewing experience. I ended up splitting this trilogy into two parts because it was just a little too much for one edit. The overall goal of the edit though was to trim down the fluff and things that didn't really work for me personally but still give the viewer the full story experience with hopefully an even more satisfying experience than what we originally got.

Change List:

[Smaller edits may be done as well that are not part of this list of bigger edits.] 1. A lot of the rest of The Last Jedi is rearranged. With the way I cut The Last Jedi in two parts, some of the scenes about the resistance ships didn't quite make sense time-wise. Also with the exclusion of all of the scenes with Finn and Rose. In the end, I had to rearrange a few of the resistance scenes and the scenes with Rey and Kylo. 2. Obviously because all the Finn and Rose scenes are cut, the scene where they are on the docking station with the stormtroopers is cut as well. 3. Finn and Rose arrive on the salt planet in a ship. It is assumed they just returned from their mission, barely alive. 4. Some of the setting up for the resistance before the first order arrives on the salt planet is cut down. 5. When Poe tells Finn to retreat while they are attacking the first order on the salt planet, he does. There is no suicide driving and no Rose saving him. 6. The Last Jedi scenes end when Rey gets everybody into the ship and Kylo "sees" her. She closes the door and we got to a "one year later" overlay that cuts to Kylo killing guys in search of the directions to the emperor from the beginning of The Rise of Skywalker. 7. Kylo actually going to the emperor is moved to a little later in the movie, after we have met back up with Rey and company. 8. Some of the scenes on the planet Pasaana are cut. 9. Some of the scenes on the planet with the destroyed Death Star are trimmed or cut fully. 10. Some Exegol scenes are trimmed, especially scenes with the ships flying. 11. Kylo and Rey's kiss is cut. Sorry, I know some people like it, I just never saw them being in love. I like the idea they are just connected by the force and they care about each other deeply, I don't think every relationship has to be romantic. 12. Again, I know this is a highly contested scene, but I cut her calling herself Rey Skywalker. I get what they were going for but it just doesn't really work for me. She simply buries the lightsabers of Luke and Leia, her masters, and then looks at the sunset before the credits roll.

Additional Notes:

My edits are really for people who want to get the story without having to watch hours on hours of content. I like to shorten films, or sets of films, into digestible content that lets you understand everything the director was trying to show in much less time.
