Change List:

The following changes do not outline the entirety of the differences between my edit and the theatrical release, as it is an edit of the community project, “TROS: Ascendant,” headed by Hal9000. Change list here. https://www.moviesremastered.com/movieinfo.php?id=591 - New Crawl - New opening scene meant to show the First Order’s grip on the galaxy is not as firm as they’d like but they are still a serious threat. (Made with the help of ScifiFan2109, Wookies Rebels & More, and Marine Iguana on Fiverr) - Shot of stormtroopers landing and beginning their attack added to Mustafar. - Kylo Ren speaks to the ghost of Luke (ElevenLabs Voice AI) when exploring the temple on Exegol. - Palpatine has been removed. - Clones in tanks added to Exegol. - Rey ignites and deactivates her lightsaber while training to maintain continuity. (ScifiFan2109) - Rey doesn’t give Leia her brother’s saber and BB-8’s comment is made to be about helping the Commander (inspired by Movies Remastered) - The meeting scene is no longer about Palpatine somehow returning, since he hasn’t returned. Voice AI has been used to fill gaps and tell the new story as well as allude to the canon expanded universe. - Leia doesn’t tell Rey “No.” - Kylo has a vision of fighting Darth Vader on Starkiller base when he touches Vader’s helmet. (The Kylo vs Vader fan film, edited down, sped up, and with a new sound mix, assembled by ScifiFan2109. New ending added with a vision of Snoke to cap it off.) - Deleted shot from behind the scenes added to Kylo Ren entering the meeting. - Kylo and Hux’s exchange about the mask is removed and in its place, the now General Phasma enters the room. - The question asked by the officer at the end is made about the fleet and not Palpatine (since he’s not in this) - Kylo in the first Force-Skype scene is almost completely revoiced by Ian-Luke Chenet. One of his added lines is an Adam Driver voice AI, due to technical problems. Will eventually be replaced for sake of consistency. - Pryde’s, “I’m obviously going to betray you,” shot/line is removed. - Rey doesn’t recognize Ochi’s ship. - Rey used the force to peacefully compel the serpent to let them leave. No force healing in this edit. - Kylo Ren doesn’t fly all the way to Rey, for her to destroy his TIE. The bit with Chewie happens causing them leave before makes it all the way there. (Inspired by Movies Remastered) - Zorii just tells Rey, “You’re okay.” - The cantina on Kjimi has been expanded using footage from the fan film “No Disintegrations” and “Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40 & Too Short (Official Music Video)” as well as the song “Kayfoundo Naweea” from The Old Republic. - Removed Poe’s line about never seeing a First Order Officer’s medallion. That just seems unlikely. - Removed Rey talking about Ochi’s ship again. - Finn doesn’t say that the Endor system is where the last war ended. - Kylo’s TIE Whisperer needed to be changed back to its theatrical self, since it wasn’t destroyed on Pasanna. - Finn has an idea. Not “no idea.” Voice AI. - Kylo’s lines during the second Skype call have been mostly rewritten, to 1. remove all mention of Palpatine and 2. change Rey’s backstory. - Poe, Finn and Chewie are taken to Phasma, instead of Pryde. - Kylo’s lines in the hanger scene are completely rewritten to expand and comment on the new story. - Phasma kills the spy. - Rey’s line about Palpatine killing her parents has been changed using a clip from an edit by DarthYcey - Endor has been recolored to reflect different times of day. This is so later it’s implied Rey has been searching the Death Star ruins much longer. (Shot of the sun also removed for this purpose) - Kylo talking to the wall has been moved to after Endor and made into an exchange between him and Luke (Voice AI). - Shot of the falcon arriving to the Resistance base added. - Leia is still alive when they return. - R2 does not just upload 3PO’s memories back into his head. This is permanent. - Since Leia is still alive, Poe and Finn are not Generals (voice AI) - Line given to 3PO using video game dialogue and Voice AI to show that R2 is tell 3PO about their adventures. - Since Leia is still alive, Poe doesn’t refer to her like she’s dead and says “For Skywalker,” instead of “For Leia.” (voice AI) - Shots of Kylo’s Star destroyer approaching Endor and Kylo’s Whisperer flying there added (made by Wookies, Rebels & More), spliced with the TLJ deleted scene of Kylo looking out the window. - Rey search the ruins, to the beginning of her fight with Ren is one scene. - Kylo is given two lines to solidify that in this fight he is actually trying to kill Rey. - Various troopers from Exegol are given the voice of Temuera Morrison, using audio from Battlefront (2004) and Bounty Hunter (2002). - The fight between Kylo and Rey is spliced with the Battle of Exegol. - Gra’tua Cuun, from Republic Commandos Soundtrack, added to the Rey and Kylo fight. - Pryde is almost completely replaced with Phasma throughout the Battle. - Finn and Phasma sense each other like Luke and Vader in Return of the Jedi. Give Finn a little more closure. - Poe refers to Finn as an “admiral” (Voice AI) - Ackbar Jr, calls Poe and Admiral (voice AI) - The audio of the battle underneath Palpatine’s monologue had to be reconstructed. You know. Since Palpatine isn’t in this. - Music from The Phantom Menace is used to bridge the section of the battle where the monologue was, with Rose calling Finn. - Rey and Kylo use lightning to stop each other’s blades, to help show that they are on equal footing. - Han, Luke, and Leia all say Ben’s name as he slashes at Rey. - Audio from the movie Fanboys (2009) of Carrie Fisher saying “Go home” added to Kylo’s hesitation. - R2 removed from Leia’s deathbed (he’s at Exegol) - Rey does not heal Kylo’s wound. - Kylo’s scar added back in his last two closeups. - Dash rendar’s voice added to the cacophony of pilots. - Poe isn’t called a “General” when he wants to save Finn. - The Star Destroyer crashes into the underground section of the temple, killing the cultists in the throne room. - Rey flies back to Ahch To to complete her character development. - “Confronting fear” has been turned into Lesson 3. - Luke says Rey’s destiny will mean “the end of the Jedi,” and talks about the balance within her. - Luke and Rey don’t talk about going to Exegol. - End celebration has been turned into a music montage of Rey’s flying back, the celebration and the victories throughout the galaxy. - Certain shots are used to imply after the events of this movie, Poe and Finn will become a couple. - A scene of Rose giving a victory speech in the New Alderaan Senate Chamber has been added. Made using voice AI, footage from an interview with Kelly Marie Tran, and various other sources, including two VFX shots by Wookies Rebels & More) - Rey’s new lightsaber has been given a rainbow blade, representing the spectrum of emotion, between which she must maintain balance. - The old woman is removed from the scene on Tatooine. Instead Rey hears Luke and Leia. - Additional shots of the Falcon taking off from Tatooine, jumping to hyperspace, and the inside of the Falcon - New titles added in the credits.
