Synopsis:

steFANedit turns his attention to the lackluster reboot and crafts it into a sequel worthy to be part of the franchise.

Intentions:

One of the taglines for this movie was: Bad luck? …You don’t know the half of what you’re in for. And that’s the problem: I want to know what I’m in for when watching a Friday the 13th movie. A big problem with the reboot, for me, was the reimagining stuff. It all just felt half-assed and the original mythology was so much better and richer. Why redo it if you’re just going to skim over it? So now all that stuff is gone and we are left with Part 12 and a Jason that doesn’t run, doesn’t take prisoners and/or use people as bait. There are also two new (or should I say different) death scenes and I used the classic score by Harry Manfredini in many scenes to amp up the tension. Left is a movie that is only 56min long but which I hope will satisfy the bloodlust in every fan of the Friday the 13th series.

Change List:

CUT: Camp consular, Pamela Voorhees and Jason as a kid CUT: First group of teenagers INSERTED: A new beginning INSERTED: A new credit sequence INSERTED: Classic Friday the 13th score by Harry Manfredini throughout the movie CUT: The locket is deleted from the movie CUT: Music sequence when they leave the gas station CUT: The redneck guy that smokes dope and gets killed by Jason CHANGED: New song when Nolan and Chelsea borrows Trent’s car (Ram Jam – Black Betty) CHANGED: New song during the waterskiing-scene (The Beach Boys – I get around) CUT: Jason throwing the connotes around CUT: Whitney as Jason’s prisoner CUT: Most of the sex scene CHANGED: A new death scene for Chewie CUT: Jason running CUT: Jason using Lawrence as bait CHANGED: Brea is now killed faster CUT: Mr. Garretson and his truck. Now Trent’s death scene is different CHANGED: Clay and Jenny finding Whitney is different CHANGED: The ending plays a little different INSERTED: Custom end credits (also some other minor cuts here and there and some scenes plays in different order).

Additional Notes:

Includes: -Classic score by Harry Manfredini -2 new kills -More suspense -Jason Voorhees -Friday the 13 Part 12 Doesn’t include: -Jason taking a prisoner -Jason using people as bait -The reimagining stuff -Over the top nudity -Annoying redneck guy.
