Synopsis:

New timeline moves the date back by a year, setting the film on a real Friday the 13th. There are many cuts made to alter the timeline, remove filler, tighten the editing & improve the overall ambiance.

Intentions:

This project aims to bring stronger continuity, tighter editing & improved pacing to all 12 films in the Friday the 13th movie series.

Change List:

I tried to stay true to Susan E. Cunningham's editing style from the original film. I didn't want anything to seem changed or altered at all. This mostly meant simple cutting & a general documentarian-style approach. Cuts and Additions: -added the Fanedit.org logo -added my fanedit production logo. -added music over the Paramount production logo & director credit. (Overlay of Evil) -removed the recap / 'Annie at Home' scene. -added new text explaining the previous events. -changed the numeral in the title from Arabic to Roman. -edited the Main Theme to match the new title sequence. -added sound effects during the new title sequence. -removed the opening credits. -added "Thursday, June 12th 1980" text to the opening shot. -cut the closeup of Ralph after Ginny drives past him. -added a zoom-in towards the "Counselor Training Center" sign after Ginny drives past. -removed the events from Paul's campfire story that don't align with my new timeline. -moved Scott's nervous reaction to a different part of Paul's story. -added "Friday, June 13th" text to the shot of Ginny waking up. -Jason doesn't take as long to stab Vickie. -cut Jason dragging the body down the stairs. -less of Ginny standing around calling for Paul after he's attacked by Jason. -Ginny makes a quicker escape from her car after knocking Jason over. -cut Jason getting kicked in the balls. -cut Ginny hiding in plain sight in front of Vickie's car. -removed the 'Running Montage'. -cut the rat peeing under the bed. -Ginny takes faster action after Paul returns. -less slo-mo on Ginny's machete chop. -less slo-mo on Jason's smash n' grab. -moved the zoom-in on Pamela to post-credits. -added my production logo to the end. -added music cue to post-credits & production logo.
