Synopsis:

The re-telling of the Eastrail 177 Trilogy in SPLIT UNBREAKABLE GLASS was the first part of an experiment to retool these movies with a new narrative structure to facilitate surprises, adjustments to reveals, new parallels, new opening and closings and much much more. One can be surprised again. In what may be a fanediting first, this version takes extensive material NOT used in SPLIT UNBREAKABLE GLASS (Dr Fletcher and David's marital issues) and tells the same (or similar tale) as an alternate version of the events from a very different perspective. Over 50% of this version of events is newly repuposed and previously unused and differently structured. With a different resolution and enough left untold to permit both edits to surprise and re-reveal, UNBREAKABLE GLASS SPLIT and SPLIT UNBREAKABLE GLASS can be watched in any order and still shine a BRIGHT light on M/ Night Shyamalan's genius, patience and discipline in anchoring these characters in the real world.

Intentions:

To create a more emotional telling of the Eastrail 177 trilogy with a focus on emotions rather than alter egos and to provide a different resolution to the events told in Split Unreabable Glass. This still contains many surprises, new deleted scenes and over 90 mins of material that was not used in the Split Unbreakable Glass...with a new set piece and reveal which agai, WILL surprise and thrill viewers further.

Change List:

In order to not spoil the reaveals and parallels and to showcase M. Nights Genius and discipline, this is a NEW edit telling the story from a completely different perspective...as in different from Split Unbreakable Glass SUG that is. DETAILS - NO SPOILERS 68% of Unbreakable material is newly used; this is new material not seen in SUG 100% of Split is new material not used in SUG 16 mins of new deleted scenes The last 75 mins play out differently than in SUG and have been re-structured to facilitate this. An hour of Glass is removed and 15 mins are new material not used in SUG CASEY is NOT in this version nor is OLD Mrs Price Barry is heavily featured and was not in SUG A new central set piece Different structure to SUG The ending is also different... 30 mins shorter than SUG And a few more surprises narratively and more examples of M. Nights consistency in direction plus a post credits sequence...

Additional Notes:

The core of this version of events are peoples emotions and motivations, thus a more rounded understanding of the protagonists is revealed.
