Synopsis:

Peter Parker's secret identity is revealed to the entire world. Desperate for help, Peter turns to Doctor Strange to make the world forget that he is Spider-Man. The spell goes horribly wrong and shatters the multiverse, bringing in monstrous villains that could destroy the world.

Intentions:

This edit of NWH uses a fully IMAX aspect ratio and adds the best new material from the More Fun Stuff Version. Additional changes to the visuals and audio have been made to bring the film more in line with previous installments and give the viewer a better overall watching experience.

Change List:

Used IMAX version as a base All More Fun Stuff Scenes are added (Cropped to IMAX aspect ratio and carefully reframed, but otherwise unchanged), with the exceptions of the first four lines listed: Cut the “We were lab partners” guy; the moment only wastes time and breaks the tension, and is played as a joke without being even remotely funny Trimmed Betty’s interviews for Brevity (no lines cut) Cut student Statue of Liberty montage and joined shots with a Midtown High logo transition (The scene doesn’t add anything we don’t already know) Forwent the monster mash scene (a little fun but slows down the pacing too much) Cut the “Murderer! Mysterio forever!” clip from the Bugle montage because it will show as a full scene later Cut the MIT lady slamming the car door into the median divider (the less attention we pay to the door thing, the better) Shortened laughter at “Dr. Otto Octavius” Cut awkward silent shot after “I’m something of a Scientist myself” Added flashbacks when the Villains are talking about their respective fates (Coloring inspired by CosmicObsidian44’s Legacy cut) In the flashbacks, Tobey and Andrew’s Spideys are shown briefly and from a distance for more of a payoff when we fully see them. Color-corrected Lizard’s eyes Deepened Lizard’s Voice (much improved from V1) Color corrected the Goblin’s eyes during his introduction (much improved from V1) Made Electro’s Lightning transform from Blue to yellow in his introduction Trimmed and color-corrected some of the more egregious green screen work in the Peter/Strange fight Added a blue tint to Electro’s power in a few frames of the apartment scene Replaced Jameson’s “What was that?” with “Was that a dinosaur?” from trailers (Much improved from V1) Color corrected and added a sandstorm effect in the background Comped Willem Dafoe’s face onto his digital double in the window smash shot (Much improved from V1) Lightly trimmed Andrew’s introduction (No lines cut, just awkward silence) Fixed Tobey’s mask to be more Rami-accurate (Grayer eyes, no extra web lines) Changed Lizard’s cure from green to blue Added Tobey, Andrew, and Tom Spider-Sense sound effects to the pumpkin bomb scene Added Uncle Ben's headstone next to May’s (no shot of just the two stones next to each other like in V1; I feel it was too heavyhanded) Added “The Definitive Edition” to the title card Added a subtle Daredevil leitmotif at Matt’s entrance Added the more bombastic part of Doc Ock’s theme to his entrance (Inspired by Jfilms426) Enhanced Elfman’s Spectre of The Goblin in the ally scene (much improved from V1) Added the tribal drum from the Goblin’s theme to the Peter vs. Goblin fight Added Han Zimmer’s Ground Rules to the MJ catch scene Added Venom's (2018) leitmotif to the mid-credit scene Added TASM Lizard roars (about 75% of his roars are now TASM or hybrid) Added tons of Rami-accurate SFX for Ock’s Tentacles (particularly on the bridge scene) Added Ock’s tentacles screaming when Peter installs his chip Added some Rami-accurate SFX for the Goblin Glider Added a Risinger Productions title card Added special thanks page
