Synopsis:

57 years after Ellen Ripley had a close encounter with the reptilian alien creature from the first movie, she is called back, this time, to help a group of highly trained colonial marines fight off against the sinister extraterrestrials. But this time, the aliens have taken over a space colony on the moon LV-426. When the colonial marines are called upon to search the deserted space colony, they later find out that they are up against more than what they bargained for. Using specially modified machine guns and enough firepower, it's either fight or die as the space marines battle against the aliens. As the Marines do their best to defend themselves, Ripley must attempt to protect a young girl who is the sole survivor of the nearly wiped out space colony. After coming across two edits of Aliens that greatly renewed my interest in the film, I decided to create a cut of the film that would check all of the boxes for me when it came to a version of the film that would be perfect for me. I present that very cut to you all as "Aliens Revisited".

Intentions:

I wanted to create a cut of the film that would be the ideal version of the film for myself to revisit many times more.

Change List:

- 00:00:00:00: Added fanedit warning. - 00:00:06:11: Added Dark Netflix style FE.org logo. - 00:00:11:12: Added my fanedit logo. - 00:11:03:01: Added Burke telling Ripley "some promises can't be kept." - 00:15:25:04: Added the end of Ripley's conversation with Van Leuwen from the theatrical cut to crossfade to Ripley's apartment, effectively removing the functional Hadley's Hope scenes. - 00:23:02:08: Added Spunkmeyer saying "I'm getting too old for this s**t." - 00:44:54:12: Added Burke's joke about his college dorm room. - 00:53:13:13: Added Drake's reluctance to catch Newt. - 00:59:31:22: Added Newt trying to run away from Ripley while the group prepares to head out. - 01:38:32:05: Added Hicks asking Ripley when was the last time she slept. - 02:06:35:19: Added in the "Burke Cocooned" deleted scene.

Additional Notes:

As all of the reintegrated footage present in this edit was presented in SD ported over from various previous releases to the Alien Anthology Box Set, I had to upscale and deinterlace said footage with Topaz Video AI. The accompanying stereo audio was upmixed to 5.1 using NUGEN Audio's Halo Upmix plugin in Adobe Audition so I could present the edit in my preferred 5.1 surround sound. Finally, all of the reintegrated footage was then color corrected and graded to match the Blu-ray sourced footage using DaVinci Resolve.

Other Sources:

Alien Anthology Blu-ray Box Set: Both the Theatrical Cut and Special Edition versions were source from Aliens Blu-ray presented in this set. The deleted scene montage and Burke Cocooned deleted scene were sourced from disc six of this set as well.

Special Thanks:

Bobson Dugnutt - For creating the two edits that made me want to pursue this project.
