Synopsis:

Jurassic World' is a film regarded by many as a fun popcorn flick, but one with contrivances that keep it from being anything more than what it is. I want to fix that!

Intentions:

I myself find the original cut to be entertaining, well paced, well acted but filled with nonsensical subplots/characters that just weigh everything down. So, I figured why not just remove these annoyances, do a bit of reordering for tone doctoring, and give the film a more crisp bright color palette.

Change List:

-Replaced the opening logo's music with that of the more ominous JP 3 cues. - A new opening was created that quickly introduces us to important characters and the dinosaurs right off the bat and launches us back into the universe. - Cut the first control room scene. While I appreciate the self awareness present and the fun humor, it doesn't really add anything meaty or useful overall. - As stated earlier, every single subplot (the parents divorce, raptors joining our nations finest under the command of Vincent D’nofrio, the romance between Claire and Owen) including certain characters (the parents and Hoskins) are now gone. - New siren SFX for the pterodactyl attack for a more (what else?) ominous and atmospheric feeling. - The original T rex roar was brought back to give a more triumphant finale after her battle with the I-Rex. - Placed the classic JP theme in the end credits because why not?

Additional Notes:

Overall, a re-grade on the coloring was done to remove the dull/blue filter-ish look that was originally present and bring the life back into it (i.e. warmer look, added contrast to fix the foggy look, harsher blues and greener greens).

Other Sources:

- 'Jurassic Park Main Theme' by John Williams - Deleted scene.
