| Review: I won't go into details but I suffered from childhood various forms of PTSD so this MR " masterpiece " was a healing tonic . A Haunting, horrifying, brutal, terrifying etc etc and amazingly beautiful fanedit that perfectly accompanies part 1. The love story along with the clever insertion of Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver as a mentally disturbed Michael after witnessing the death in the roulette game of his dear friend Nicky along with his own internalized trauma from the Nam war was expertly treated here. I've known ex vets and and a few have gone off the rails and spiralled into alcholism, drug addiction( especially from pain meds) and a couple eventually became suicidal, with one actually committing suicide. It's truly heartbreaking. This movie was so powerful it speaks for itself and I would like to thank MR for creating this and I will cherish it for the rest of my life. ? |
