Synopsis: Based on Scott Turow's novel "Presumed Innocent" (1987), adapted from its namesake movie (1990), and in anticipation of the upcoming Apple+ mini series, "WAS JUSTICE DONE?" explores the question of justice, inside and outside of the law, in two versions. In both, Rusty, a married prosecutor, has an affair with a beautiful colleague. When she is murdered, he investigates the case until he himself becomes the prime suspect. He hires Sandy Stern, a top defense lawyer, to plead his innocence. The killer is revealed: Version A matches the original movie, Version B reveals a different killer. This fanedit is faster paced (38 minutes shorter than the 1990 movie). The timeline is compressed (the victim starts out alive, the affair is ongoing). It remains unclear whether Rusty is the killer (until the reveal).
